A bequest is an opportunity to leave your legacy. You can be certain that your act of generosity will help make a difference to the lives of thousands of people in our community. By telling us of your intention to leave a bequest we are able to plan for our future.  We can also work with you to ensure that the gift is used in the most appropriate way. 

 

We recommend that you seek legal advice around writing your will.  If you intend to leave a bequest to us the following is an example of how this would look in your will:

"I give and bequeath the sum of $_____________ (or) _____________% of my estate, (or) residue of my estate, (or) propery or assets as follows:_____________________ free of all charges to Te Whakaruruhau Inc. registered charity number CC34547. The official receipt of the Chief Executive or other authorised officer of the Trustee is an absolute discharge to my executors."
